What’s the job?

Our goal is to hit 200K combined followers/subscribers across X, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube in the next 6 months (we’re currently at ~25K). Your primary responsibility is to execute a plan to hit our follower target. Specifically, you'll work with the creator ops team to develop a content strategy that includes a consistent plan to publish content across Playback's social media channels, you’ll work to establish and refine Playback’s voice/identity online, and you will be tasked with finding and executing other growth strategies to increase awareness of Playback’s brand and content online.

Who are you?

  • You have a deep passion for sports and stay up-to-date with the latest news, trends, and events across various leagues and teams.
  • You have a knack for creating engaging visual content, short videos, including graphics, and GIFs that resonate with sports audiences.
  • You have a strong understanding of social media platforms and their unique features, particularly those popular among sports fans.
  • You have excellent communication and collaboration skills to communicate your ideas and achieve buy in from the team.
  • You are adaptable and quick-thinking, able to respond to live sports events and breaking news in real-time.

Your skills & experience

  • A creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative content ideas that resonate with sports fans and elevate Playback’s brand.
  • At least one-year of building and managing an existing sports-focused social media account on a major video-first platform like TikTok, Instagram, YouTube.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools such as Buffer.
  • Experience with content creation tools like Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work nights, especially during live sports events with a deadline.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret social media metrics and adjust strategies accordingly.

Schedule & benefits

  • You’ll be expected to work nights and some weekends during the NBA season.
  • This is a remote role but we prefer that candidates live in the Pacific time zone.
  • This role is contract to hire.
